Ibadan North East LG Boss, Akintayo, Charges Newly Appointed Supervisory Councillors, Special Assistants On Good Conduct, Integrity

The Executive Chairman of the Ibadan North East local government area of Oyo State, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, on Monday, charged the newly appointed Supervisory Councillors and Special Assistants to uphold good conduct and integrity in their respective roles.

Akintayo, who have this admonition during the swearing-in ceremony of the appointees, which held at the Council, emphasized the importance of ethical behavior, transparency, and accountability in public service.

While saying that their appointments are a call to service, he urged the appointees to prioritize the welfare and interests of the people, adding that their roles come with great responsibility and trust.

“I am happy to witness a day like this once again in the history of this local government. Today, I want to say that as representatives of the government, you must conduct yourselves with the highest level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.

“Your actions and decisions will reflect not only on yourselves but also on the government and the people we serve.

“Remember, your appointments are not a privilege, but a call to serve selflessly and make a positive impact on society,” he said.

Akintayo, in the same vein, commended the efforts of the Oyo State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. ‘Seyi Makinde, towards ensuring the growth of good governance at the local government level.

He also thanked a prominent leader in the local government, Chief Bayo Lawal, party stakeholders and members as well as top career officers for registering their attendance at the swearing in ceremony, promising that the Council would continue to work toward the yearnings of the people of the Council area.

Similarly, the newly appointed Special Assistants and Advisers pledged to uphold the values of good governance, integrity, and transparency.

They, however, promised to work tirelessly to deliver on their mandates and make a difference in the lives of the people at the grassroots level.
