Oluwaseun Olufade has been officially sworn in as the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government.
The swearing-in ceremony took place today at the House of Chiefs within the Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, alongside the induction of 32 other local government chairmen and their vice chairmen, including Oluwaseun Olufade’s vice, Akeem Ayoade.
The oath of office was administered by the Chief Justice of Oyo State, Hon. I.S. Yerima, in a ceremony attended by key government officials and dignitaries.
Representing the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Barrister AbdulRaheem Adebayo Lawal addressed the newly inaugurated officials, urging them to lead with selflessness and transparency.
He emphasized the importance of responding swiftly to the needs of their respective local governments, highlighting the critical role they play in governance and development at the grassroots level.
In his remarks, Oluwaseun Olufade expressed his gratitude and optimism. “I am happy to be sworn in today as the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government.
I pray to Almighty God to grant me wisdom, knowledge, and strong health to bring my positive plans for Ibadan North to fruition,” Olufade stated. He committed to working diligently to elevate the local government to greater heights.
The ceremony marks a significant step in the local administration, with the newly sworn-in chairmen and vice chairmen poised to embark on their mandates to enhance governance and development in their communities.
