The Secretary of Afijio Local Government, Hon. Ayoola Kolawole (Arabambi) has won the primary election conducted by the People’s Democratic Party, held at the council secretariat in Afijio local government.
The election, which was free, fair, and well observed by the electoral committees and the delegates, witnessed a new dawn in the political structure of Afijio local government.
At the primary election for the chairmanship candidacy, Hon Ayoola Kolawole Ojo ( Arabambi) had 57 votes, while Hon Olufemi Aikomo had 4 votes.
In the summary of the result organized by the primary election committee, announced Hon. Ayoola Kolawole (Arabambi) as the winner with the highest vote count.
While addressing the media after the election, Arabambi thanked the party delegates, stakeholders, and the people of Afijio local government for giving him the mandate to represent the party (PDP), in the forthcoming 2024 local government election.
Consequently, at the end of the Primaries as announced by the electoral committees, in the presence of the delegates and aspirants’ agent, he was declared the winner and the chairmanship flag-bearer of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Afijio local government
