The incident occurred at the Washington Hilton, where a gunman reportedly tried to breach security and opened fire near the venue. Secret Service agents swiftly intervened, subduing the suspect before any harm could come to the President or other high-profile attendees.

According to officials, the attacker fired at least one shot, striking a Secret Service agent’s protective gear. The agent was unharmed, and the suspect was immediately taken into custody.

The chaotic scene triggered panic among guests, including top government officials, journalists, and dignitaries, many of whom scrambled for safety as security operatives secured the premises. The event, which had drawn over 2,000 attendees, was subsequently cancelled.
