The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, has congratulated Olori Onikepo Olufunmike Akande, OON, CON, on the occasion of her 80th birthday anniversary.
In his congratulatory message on Tuesday, the Deputy Governor highlighted Olori Akande’s groundbreaking record and her contributions to Nigeria’s public and private sectors.
Noting that Onikepo Akande is not only admired as a remarkable leader but also as the Iyalaje Iyalode of Ibadanland, Barr. Lawal equally described her as a devoted wife to Oba Adebayo Akande, the Ekaarun Olubadan of Ibadanland, a proud mother, and beloved grandmother.
The Deputy Governor however commended Nike Akande for her tenure as Minister of Industry, recognizing her commitment to advancing the country and praising her outstanding service as a public administrator, community leader, philanthropist, and business executive.
He conveyed his sincere appreciation to Nike Akande for her steadfast dedication to mentoring and inspiring others, noting that she remains a role model to women in Nigeria.
Barr. Lawal prayed to God Almighty for sustained health and longevity, to enable Mrs Akande to share her inspirational life story and inspire others to embrace hope and perseverance.
