The Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Oyo state chapter has congratulated Oba Ghandi Olaoye Orumogege III as he, today the 19th of December 2023, presented the staff of office by Gov. Seyi Makinde in Ogbomosho.
Oyo ALGON in a statement sent to Bowamedia.com urged the royal father to show fairness to all his subjects and make a commitment to the sustenance of peace in Ogbomosho land as he today officially began his ascension to his fore-father’s throne.
The statement reads thus: “On behalf of the good people of Oyo state and ALGON as a body, we congratulate Oba Ghandi Olaoye Orumogege III on his ascension as the new soun of Ogbomosho land.
“Oyo ALGON rejoices with you sir, Oba Ghandi Olaoye Orumogege III on your ascension and presentation of staff of office by His Excellency Gov. Seyi Makinde after a keen and organized but peaceful selection process.
“We want to especially appreciate the governor of Oyo state Engr. Seyi Makinde for once again standing on his feet against injustice and irregularities, we appreciate your gestures, and would like to express our profound gratitude to you”
Further, Hon. Sikiru Oyedele Sanda, the Oyo ALGON chairman, congratulated the five local government chairmen from Ogbomosho for experiencing this day during their tenure as council chairmen. Also, he urged the new Soun Ogbomosho to at all times protect the interest of the people and the land and also at all times carry his subjects along for a new era of peace, stability, and progress of Ogbomosho, Yoruba land, and Nigeria as a whole
