BREAKING: Osinbajo Sends Message To President-Elect, Tinubu
Presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday morning, Vice-President Professor Yemi Osinbajo led ministers in congratulating the president-elect Bola Tinubu on his victory at the 2023 election.
Our correspondent reports that Osinbajo wished the president-elect the best as he prepares to lead the nation.

Osinbajo and FEC also congratulated the Vice-President-elect, Kashim Shettima, and First-Lady-designate, Oluremi Tinubu.
BOWA MEDIA reports that Osinbajo contested the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in June 2022 and came third in the contest behind Tinubu and Rotimi Amaechi, a former Minister of Transportation.

By choosing to contest against Tinubu, his political benefactor, many Nigerians consider Osinbajo a betrayal.

It was Tinubu who appointed Osinbajo, then an academic, as a commissioner. He served as justice commissioner for the eight years Tinubu was the governor of Lagos.
It was also Tinubu who nominated Osinbajo as the vice-presidential candidate of Buhari in 2015. Messrs Tinubu and Osinbajo were close allies until the build-up to the current elections.
