The Consensus Candidate for the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency seat on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji popularly known as OTOPE, on Friday April 10, 2026 paid a formal thank-you visit to Engr. Jubril Dotun Sanusi (JDS), the Asiwaju of Ona-Ara and Okanlomo Oodua.
The visit was a direct response to Engr. Sanusi’s recent public declaration of support for Dr. Oladimeji’s 2027 House of Representatives ambition.
In a statement issued by Mr. Segun Akinlabi, Media Aide to Dr. Oladimeji, the visit was described as an opportunity to honor a mentor and key stakeholder. During the private meeting, Dr. Oladimeji, who also serves as President of the OTOPE Foundation, reiterated his commitment to the constituency and acknowledged the strategic importance of Engr. Sanusi’s backing.
“I am here today to visit my father, a role model, and a mentor to express my deepest appreciation for his unwavering support of my candidacy,” Dr. Oladimeji stated. “I can not thank him enough for his confidence in this vision.”
This development solidifies the growing political alignment within the constituency as preparations for the 2027 general elections continue to gain momentum.
