The kidnapping of Benedict Akika, a supporter of Governor Seyi Makinde, has been confirmed by the Oyo Police Command.
Akika, a prominent member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, was reportedly kidnapped on Wednesday night at his home in Lagelu Local Government Area’s Olorunda Aba neighborhood.
Akika’s location was unknown as of press time.
Adewale Osifeso, a spokesman for Oyo Police, confirmed the kidnapping and stated that an inquiry has been launched.
