VAN To Leaders – “Emulate Governor Seyi Makinde’s Style Of Governance” As Group Pays Youths Commissioner Courtesy Visit

The national president of the Victory Advocates of Nigeria, Prince Seyi Ajibola has urged all the leaders in the position of authorities in the country to emulate the Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde in his style of governance.

The call was made today by the VAN leadership in the southwest while paying a congratulatory visit to the commissioner for Youth and Sports developments, Oyo state, Honorable Wasilat Adegoke Adefemi at her office.

Ajibola commended Governor Makinde for his unprecedented leadership role in the political history of Nigeria.

“I want to call on our leaders in Nigeria to emulate Governor Seyi Makinde who has appointed many youths in his cabinet. Out of the many is the Honorable Commissioner for Youth and Sports developments, who happens to be a member of the VAN group”.

“This is a rare opportunity in our lifetime. Rather than standing for the youth, we need to stand with the youth. We don’t need a political movement that will cage us, we need to build our environment and policies for our collective future as youths.”

Ajibola stated further, “Old age and treachery will always beat youthful exuberant. We are the hope of the future, and the foundation of every state is the functional education of youth”.

In her response, the twenty-eight-year-old commissioner for youth and sports development, Honorable Wasilat Adegoke Adefemi appreciated the group, particularly the president, for the courtesy congratulatory visit and promised to collaborate with the youths in the state.

Adefemi thanked the Governor for the opportunity given to her and other youths to serve in his cabinet despite all odds.

She asserted “Youth development and growth are the major assignments and God willing, my ministry will do its best to place Oyo State in a greater position”.

The Youth leader of Oyo state, Michael Ogunsina while hosting the group, implored the youths in the country to prepare to take over the system to build a strong capacity that will lead to greatness.

Among the VAN team that visited Adefemi were the southwest Special Adviser to the president, Deacon Adegbite Omoniyi, Lagos and Ogun states coordinators, Comrade Adegbola Daniel, Hon Yemisi Adegoke respectively, and representative of Oyo state team Dorcas Akintola. The Commissioner was presented with a gift.
