Oyo Assembly Confirms Kajola Local Government Chair’ Suspension Over Financial Missappropriation

Oyo State House of Assembly have confirmed the suspension of the Chairman of Kajola Local government, Hon. Alh salimonu Afolabi Borikansunwon.

His suspension was confirmed during the plenary presided over by the deputy speaker, Rt. Hon. Muhammed Fadeyi on Thursday.

Alh salimonu Afolabi borikansunwon is the third local government chairman suspended since the conclusion of the 2023

He was suspended on Wednesday by the council councilors over alleged misappropriation of funds and requested the state house of assembly for ratification.

After the confirmation of his suspension of the chairman, the lawmakers mandated the Vice chairman of the council to take over the council administration activities.

The lawmakers also instructed the council secretary to resume activities as head of the LCDA
