Sanda Hails Gov. Makinde’s Acquisition of Surveillance Aircraft, Describes Move as Major Boost to Oyo Security

The Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, has commended the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, for the acquisition of a surveillance aircraft aimed at strengthening the state’s security architecture.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hon. Oyedele described the procurement of the aircraft as a strategic and forward-looking investment that underscores Governor Makinde’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property across Oyo State.

According to the council chairman, the deployment of the aerial surveillance asset will significantly enhance intelligence gathering, improve monitoring of remote and vulnerable areas, and support swift responses to security threats by relevant security agencies.

He noted that the initiative further reflects Governor Makinde’s proactive leadership and determination to sustain Oyo State’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s safest destinations for residents, investors, and visitors.

“The acquisition of this surveillance aircraft is a remarkable milestone in the ongoing efforts to strengthen the state’s security infrastructure. A secure environment remains the foundation for economic growth, agricultural expansion, infrastructure development, and improved quality of life for the people,” Hon. Oyedele stated.
