Oyo State Local Government Service Commission Sets To Conduct Conversion Exam For Sub-Professionals
The Oyo State Local Government Service Commission has approved the conduct of the Year 2023 qualifying examination for the officers seeking conversion from one sub-professional cadre to another in the Local Government Service of Oyo state.
The examination which is scheduled to be held on Saturday 11th November,2023 at Loyola College, Ibadan will attract about 500 eligible officers drawn from the Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas in the state.
Speaking on the Commission’s preparedness for the examination, the Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Deacon Taiwo Olafimihan Adewale stated that all necessary logistics for the successful conduct of the exercise have been put in place. He said the current administration in the state under His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde does not compromise on standard practice in the civil/public service matters.
The Permanent Secretary further noted that the approval of the qualifying examination is another testament to the current administration’s belief in steady career progression for its workforce adding that similar approval had earlier been given by the state government for the conduct of the year 2022 promotion exercise barely six months into the second term of His Excellency’s administration.
While charging the candidates in the examination to be well prepared, and conduct themselves well during and after the examination. Deacon Taiwo Olafimihan Adewale further urged them and other local government staff to remain steadfast by discharging their duties diligently and reciprocate the kind disposition of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration towards workers’ welfare with improved productivity.
