Oyo ALGON Mourns Demise of Oba Adebimpe Gbadamosi, Commiserates with Gov. Makinde, Olubadan in Council

The Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Oyo State, has expressed its heartfelt condolences over the passing of Oba Adebimpe Gbadamosi, the Osi Balogun Olubadan of Ibadanland.

In a statement signed by its Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Sanda Oyedele, and made available to newsmen by its Public Relations Officer, Hon. Ibrahim Àkintayo, ALGON described the late monarch as a renowned leader and a pillar of Ibadanland’s traditional institution.

Oba Gbadamosi played a significant role in the development of Ibadan, particularly in the realization of the newly commissioned Olubadan Palace, where he represented the Olubadan. His leadership acumen was evident in his contributions to state affairs, drawing from his experience as a royal father and elder statesman.

ALGON assured that the legacy of Oba Gbadamosi will be maintained and upheld at all times, saying his impact on Ibadanland and the entire Yoruba race will never be forgotten.

Monumental Legacy

The association commiserated with Governor Seyi Makinde, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, Ibadan High Chiefs, and the entire Ibadanland over the irreparable loss. It also condoled with the immediate family of the late monarch, praying that God grants them the fortitude to bear the loss.
