Oriire School Abduction: Makinde Meets Families, Assures Safe Return of Victims.

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has met with families of victims abducted during the recent attack on schools in Oriire Local Government Area, assuring them that efforts are ongoing to secure their safe release.

The governor gave the assurance during a meeting with affected families, community leaders and residents at the open field of Ahoro Esiele LA Basic School in Oriire Local Government Area.
Makinde appealed for patience, understanding and cooperation from the families, stating that his administration would continue to work with security agencies to ensure the victims are rescued.

He noted that the state government remains committed to the operation, adding that security meetings have been held regularly since the incident to coordinate rescue efforts.
The governor also disclosed that members of the Western Security Network, codenamed Amotekun Corps, have continued to make sacrifices in the fight against insecurity across the state.

According to him, the pain and anxiety being experienced by the families are understood by the government, stressing that the abduction of innocent pupils and teachers is unacceptable.
During the meeting, relatives of some of the abducted victims appealed to the governor to intensify efforts toward securing the release of their loved ones.
Makinde later held a private session with the affected families to discuss ongoing rescue operations and reassure them of the government’s commitment to bringing the victims back safely.
