Ibadan North East LG Chair, Akintayo, Pays Homage Pledges Unwavering Support Towards Olubadan-Designate

In strict adherence to the time-honored tradition of Ibadanland, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East local government area of Oyo State, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, popularly known as (O Mu Yes), on Saturday, paid a courtesy visit to Oba Akinloye Owolabi Ige Olakunlehin, the imminent Olubadan of Ibadanland

This is coming as a result of the recent passing of His Imperial Majesty, Dr. Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II.

In a press release signed by the Council’s Information Officer, Ikeoye Oyetoro, the Chairman stated that the visit was to mark a significant step in the ceremonial journey towards the ascension of Oba Olakunlehin to the revered throne.

Monumental Legacy

Accompanied by esteemed dignitaries from the Council include the leader of the House, Hon. Olayinwola; Councillors; Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs Racheal Olabode and the Director of Administration and General Services, who is also the Secretary to Traditional Rulers in Ibadan North East Local Government, Dr. Mrs. Olanrewaju and a few key administrative figures.

Akinsete

Hon. Akintayo and his entourage was warmly received at Oba Olakunlehin’s residence in Alalubosa GRA Ibadan as the atmosphere was filled with the rhythmic beats of drums and the joyous dance of celebration.

During the visit, Mr. Isiaq, representing the Olakulehin family, expressed gratitude for the support of the Executive Chairman and the local government, emphasizing the importance of ensuring all necessary entitlements for the impending monarch.

Responding, Hon. Ibrahim reaffirmed the council’s unwavering commitment to the success and prosperity of Ibadan and pledged continued support to the Olakulehin family and the wider indigenous community.

The occasion also witnessed accolades from esteemed chiefs of Ibadan North East Local Government, including Baale Koloko and Chief Ojo, who commended Hon. Akintayo for his steadfast dedication and urged him to continue in his efforts.
