Bodija Explosion: Oyo ALGON Sympathizes, Seeks Further Cooperation of Residents •Appreciates State Govt Promptness

The Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Oyo State, Has Condoled the victims of the Ibadan Explosion and seeks further cooperation from residents and relevant stakeholders.

ALGON, in a chat with journalists in Ibadan through its chairman, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, said, “With profound sadness, we sympathize with the victims of the Adeyi, Bodija, Ibadan explosion, which occurred just last night. It is a regret that some individuals caused the avoidable incident”.

“At this time and moment, we seek complete cooperation of residents within and around the environment to please adhere to the set-out rules from assigned government agencies guiding the unfortunate blast site. We deeply appreciate His Excellency, Gov. Seyi Makinde’s visit and proactive measures taken by the state government in shouldering the hospital bills and temporary accommodation of the victims making sure the victims find solace at this time”.

Sanda assured the residents of the government’s continuous support at this time and further advised residents and the citizens to be on the lookout for others and report unfounded events, and actions by groups or individuals at all times.
