Akintayo celebrates Ibadan North-East workforce on May Day

…commends dedication to professionalism

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North-East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo (O mu Yes), has extended warm felicitations to workers across Ibadan North-East Local Government on the occasion of the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration.

In a statement signed by the Council’s Information Officer, Ikeoye Oyetoro, the Chairman described workers as the backbone of governance and development, whose unwavering commitment, diligence and sacrifices continue to drive progress at both the state and grassroots levels.

 

Hon. Akintayo, on behalf of the Legislative Council, Political Functionaries, Traditional Council, Religious Leaders and the good people of Ibadan North-East Local Government, commended the management staff led by the Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs Omolara Aremu, the NULGE executives led by Comrade Raji Afeez Abidemi and the entire workforce of Ibadan North-East Local Government for their resilience, discipline and consistent support towards the achievements recorded by the present administration.

The Council Boss also appreciates the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for fostering a worker-friendly environment through impactful policies and continuous efforts to improve the welfare and productivity of workers across the state.

 

The Chairman noted that Workers’ Day presents an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the invaluable contributions of workers to nation-building, urging them to remain steadfast, professional, and committed to effective service delivery.

“As we celebrate this year’s Workers’ Day, I salute the courage, dedication and resilience of our workers. Your contributions remain vital to the growth and development of our Local Government and Oyo State at large,” the statement read.

 

Similarly, the Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), Ibadan North-East Local Government, Mrs. Omolara Aremu, felicitated with workers and encouraged them to remain diligent, focused, and committed to efficient service delivery in line with the vision of the present administration.

 

Hon. Akintayo concluded by wishing all workers in Ibadan North-East Local Government and across Oyo State a happy and fulfilling Workers’ Day celebration, while praying for continued strength, prosperity, and greater accomplishments in their service to humanity.
