The leading aspirant for Oyo South Senatorial District, Hon. Awoleye Abiodun Dada, has reaffirmed his total alignment and unflinching support for the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, dismissing the ongoing impeachment rumours as unfounded and politically motivated.
In a brief statement made available to the press, Awoleye described the allegations as a calculated attempt by detractors to distract the government from its people-oriented agenda and destabilise the peace being enjoyed across the state.
He stressed that Governor Makinde continues to enjoy the confidence and backing of key stakeholders and the masses, noting that any talk of impeachment holds no water within the current political reality of Oyo State.
“A leader like Governor Seyi Makinde, who has consistently demonstrated transparency, competence, and commitment to good governance, deserves support, not distractions,” Awoleye stated.
The senatorial hopeful further urged residents of the state to disregard the rumours and remain steadfast in their support for the Makinde-led administration, assuring that the government remains focused on delivering dividends of democracy to the people.
