The Ward Women Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ona Ara Local Government Area have paid a congratulatory visit to Hon. (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji, popularly known as OTOPE, over his emergence as the consensus candidate for the Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The visit, which held today, was a show of solidarity and political commitment from the female leaders who form a critical backbone of grassroots party mobilization. The women leaders described OTOPE’s candidacy as a well-deserved recognition of his dedication, leadership, and service to the people.

The delegation was led by the PDP Local Women Leader, Mrs. Ganiya Lasisi, who spoke on behalf of the group. She noted that OTOPE has consistently demonstrated capacity, accessibility, and a deep understanding of the constituency’s challenges. She assured the candidate that women across all wards of Ona Ara are fully behind him and will work tirelessly to ensure victory at the polls.
“We are not just here to congratulate you; we are here to tell you that the women of Ona Ara are ready to move. You have earned this consensus through your track record and your love for the people. We will mobilize from house to house, unit to unit, and ward to ward to make sure that OTOPE becomes the next representative of Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency,” Mrs. Lasisi said.

The Ward Women Leaders further promised to leverage their networks, including market women, professional groups, and religious organizations, to sensitize voters and secure maximum turnout for the PDP in 2027.
In his response, an elated Hon. (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE) thanked the women leaders for their visit and unwavering support. He described women as the true engine of grassroots politics and pledged that their welfare, empowerment, and inclusion would remain central to his representation if elected.
“Your visit today humbles me and strengthens my resolve. The women of Ona Ara have always stood for progress and justice. I will not take your support for granted. Together, we will build a constituency where no one is left behind,” OTOPE stated.
The event ended with a prayer session for the success of OTOPE’s candidacy, the PDP, and the continued peace and development of Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency.
