The PDP delegation, which included key national executives aligned with the party’s leadership bloc, was received by Senator Mark at his residence in what observers have described as a strategic engagement between opposition figures.

Addressing journalists shortly after the meeting, Governor Makinde said the visit was primarily to demonstrate solidarity with the ADC as a political party, particularly in light of recent national developments.

According to him, Nigerians had earlier in the day expressed their grievances through protests across parts of the country, underscoring growing public dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs.

“The visit is in solidarity with the ADC as a party,” Makinde stated. “Nigerians have witnessed the protests earlier today, and the only way to express and confront a failing system is by making our voices heard.”

He emphasized the importance of peaceful civic engagement, noting that collective expression remains a fundamental tool for citizens to demand accountability and better governance.

Political analysts suggest that the meeting may signal broader consultations among opposition leaders amid rising public concerns over economic and governance challenges.

The visit highlights a growing alignment among political actors seeking to respond to citizens’ demands while reinforcing democratic values and inter-party cooperation.
