“Let’s Leave Our Differences Behind and Deliver for the Party” — Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DoN Charges Ibadan North PDP Executives
The newly elected executives of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan North Local Government, alongside the twelve ward chairmen, paid a courtesy and familiarization visit to the member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN).

The delegation, led by the party chairman, Alhaji S. A. Mustapha, expressed appreciation to the federal lawmaker for his unwavering dedication and contributions to the welfare and growth of the party over the years.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Alhaji Mustapha commended Hon. Oyekunle’s steadfastness and loyalty since his days as a constituency lawmaker. He noted that the PDP in Ibadan North has every reason to be proud of his representation at the national level.
“The party can never be prouder than having one of our own occupy this position after several years of being without the seat. It is only right that we come together to celebrate and strengthen our bond with him,” Alhaji Mustapha said.

In his response, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN) appreciated the party executives for the visit, describing the victory that brought him to office as an act of God and destiny fulfilled.
He attributed his political journey and achievements to the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, whom he described as “not just a leader, but a father who desires greatness for all his followers.”

“Nothing can be achieved without God, and destiny has only played its part. The unprecedented leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde has made many of us what we are today. He remains the talking point and will always be,” Hon. DoN stated.
He further urged the new party executives to prioritize unity and hard work ahead of the next general elections.

“Let’s leave our differences behind and work together to deliver for the party. Ibadan North has always set the pace when it comes to election victories — and this time, we must not only maintain that record but surpass it,” he charged.
The meeting was well attended by the newly elected local government party executives, ex-officials, and the twelve ward chairmen of the PDP in Ibadan North Local Government.
