A simple request has turned into a life-changing opportunity for Mr Basiru Adisa Bamidele, a resident of Ward 8, Ibadan North Federal Constituency, following the intervention of his representative, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON).
Bamidele, who had nursed the ambition of establishing a bicycle rental business in front of his residence for years, recently approached the lawmaker’s constituency office for assistance, having been unable to actualise the dream due to financial constraints.
Although the lawmaker was unavailable at the office during his visit, the request received immediate attention, culminating in the presentation of two brand-new bicycles to enable him to commence the business.
Overwhelmed by the unexpected support, Bamidele expressed gratitude to the lawmaker, describing the gesture as his first personal experience of such assistance since becoming actively involved in politics.
What had remained an unattainable ambition for years has now become a practical opportunity for self-reliance, reinforcing the impact of responsive representation and the value of interventions that directly improve the lives of constituents.
