Ib’ North Federal Lawmaker, Oyekunle (DoN) Hails PDP Congress, Applauds Makinde’s Leadership, Tasks New Executives on 2027 Mandate

The lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle Oyekunle DoN, has commended delegates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State for the peaceful and successful conduct of the party’s state executive congress.

In a goodwill message made available to newsmen, Hon. DoN praised the steadfastness and commitment of party delegates who, according to him, demonstrated maturity, unity, and loyalty to the ideals of the PDP throughout the exercise.

He also lauded the pragmatic leadership style of Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, whom he described as the driving force behind the stability and progress of the PDP in the state.

Hon. Oyekunle further congratulated the newly sworn-in state executive members of the party, urging them to uphold the people’s trust and work diligently towards ensuring electoral victory for the PDP in the 2027 general elections and beyond.

According to him, “The new executives must see their emergence as a call to service. The people of Oyo State and indeed Nigeria at large are looking up to our party to consolidate on the gains of Governor Makinde’s administration and deliver more dividends of democracy.”

He stressed the need for inclusiveness, teamwork, and accountability within the party structure, noting that the PDP remains the party to beat in Oyo State under Governor Makinde’s visionary leadership.

Hon. Oyekunle, while reaffirming his loyalty to the party, expressed optimism that the newly inaugurated executives will build on the foundation already laid to strengthen the PDP’s dominance across the country.
