Just In: APC Campaign DG, Akin Alabi, Congratulates DoN, Urges Party Members to Remain Focused After Ibadan North Bye-Election

The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election, Hon. Akin Alabi, has congratulated the winner of last Saturday’s poll, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, popularly known as DoN, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement issued after the conclusion of the election, Hon. Alabi, who represents Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, described the outcome as a moment of sober reflection for the APC.

“We extend our congratulations to Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle of the PDP on his victory. As members of the APC, this is a moment for sober reflection. The outcome of the election offers us an opportunity to critically assess our performance, identify areas where we fell short, and take corrective steps moving forward,” he said.

He further appealed to APC members and stakeholders to remain focused and united as the party begins early preparations for the 2027 general elections.

 “It is imperative that all party leaders, stakeholders and members across all groups and tendencies come together in unity and purpose. Only through genuine collaboration and internal cohesion can we build a formidable force capable of reclaiming lost ground. Our immediate task is clear: to begin strategic preparation for the re-election of our leader and President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Alabi added.

The lawmaker, who also serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Works and Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, urged members to move forward with renewed commitment, clear strategy, and unity of purpose.
