As a way to take proactive measures to eliminate malaria and other insect-borne diseases through free distribution of insecticide treated nets to people of Oyo State.
The chairman welcomed the team of Oyo State Ministry of Health in collaboration with United States (US), President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI), United State Agency for International Development (USAID), Global Health Supply Chain Program, and Roll Back Malaria (RBM) that paid courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele with the mission to help in eradicating malaria in Oyo State through the provision of insecticide treated net to every household in the state.
In his welcome address, the chairman assured his support, and security during the distribution of insecticide treated net.
The Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government, Hon Sanda Sikiru Oyedele is using this medium to create awareness on the forthcoming of distribution of free insecticide treated net within eleven wards of the council area.
Hon Sanda also appealed to all and sundry of Egbeda local government to work harmoniously with health officials, and ad-hoc staff by cooperating with them by spreading the news to their neighbours.
Mr. Effiong Wisdom Ekong, appreciated the chairman for his support added that the mobilisation will start on 10th to 16th of July, 2025, and l implored every household to ensure they leave someone in the house in order to update them as soon as mobilisation started.
