Makinde’s DCoS, Folajimi Oyekunle, Mourns Elder Statesman Alhaji Yekeen Adeojo, Describes Death as ‘Rude Shock’

The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor of Oyo State, Folajimi Oyekunle DoN, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of elder statesman and stalwart of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Yekeen Adeojo, who died in the early hours of today.
In a press statement released by his Special Assistant, Wale Bodija, Oyekunle described the news of Baba Adeojo’s death as a rude shock, saying the revered leader’s demise has left a vacuum in the political and communal landscape of Oyo State.

“Baba Adeojo was not just a founding pillar of the PDP in Oyo State, he was a guiding light whose wisdom and unwavering commitment helped shape the strength of our great party as we know it today,” the statement read.
Oyekunle extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the late statesman, as well as to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, whom he described as having lost not just a political mentor, but a father figure.

“This is a deeply personal loss to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, and to all of us who had the privilege of drawing from Baba’s fountain of wisdom. His contributions to the growth of our party and the development of Ido Local Government and beyond remain indelible.”
He further condoled with the people of Ido Local Government Area and the wider Oyo State political family, praying for divine strength and comfort in this difficult time.
“May Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest and give us all — his family, political associates, and admirers — the fortitude to bear this painful loss,” Oyekunle concluded.
