2027: Oyo South Resident Slams Sharafadeen Alli Over ‘Fried Fish’ Publicity Stunt, Demands Scorecard

A resident of Oyo State has lambasted the Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, over what he described as an attempt to deceive the public with a recent display of buying fried fish by the roadside.

The resident, who reacted to the video of the lawmaker patronizing a roadside fish seller, said such act is not known with the Senator and is a clear case of eye service to curry public sympathy ahead of 2027.

“You can’t deceive us with what is not known with you. We know you as a Senator who chose not to give appointment to job seekers or empowerment for those need it, not as someone who eats by the roadside. Election near and you begin to do what is called political stunt. This is pure packaging,” the resident stated.

According to him, instead of staging roadside dramas, the Senator should come out and show the people of Oyo South what he has done as Senator for close to 4 years in office.

“The public expects him to show his scorecard. What bills have you sponsored? What projects have you facilitated to Oyo South? How many youths have you empowered? What is your impact in the Senate? That is what we want to see, not buying fried fish on the road,” he added.

He maintained that the people of Oyo South are wiser and can no longer be swayed by cosmetic public show, stressing that 2027 will be about performance and not pretence.
