100 Days In Office: His Development Initiatives So Far Are Sustainable, People-Oriented – Ib’ Southwest Chair, Akande
The local government chairman of Ibadan Southwest, Hon Kehinde Adeyemi Akande expresses satisfaction with the programs and activities of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, describing his development efforts and initiatives as meaningful, monumental, and sustainable.
Ibadan council chairman made the statement during his congratulatory message to the government on his 100 days in office.
Akande commends the pragmatism,
commitment, courage, and most importantly, prudence and transparency demonstrated by Governor Makinde since he assumed office for his second term.
Akande said in addition to these abilities, Makinde has proved to Oyo state people that he is truly a pacesetter
and will not be distracted from redeeming the lost glory of the State.
In his statement, Ibadan Southwest said, the people of Oyo state are proud of Makinde who proved them right in making him their governor for the second term, saying the state residents have not been disappointed by the governor’s actions and policies taken in the course of governance, especially in the last 100 days.
Akande noted the achievements of Governor Makinde in 100 days in office to include, including appointments of the best hands as commissioners and aides, approval for construction of the Iyana Church Olodo link bridge, distribution of farm inputs to smallholder farmers in Ogbomoso and Oke-Ogun Zones under the World Bank-assisted Oyo COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (OYS-CARES) program, the introduction of the Sustainable Actions for Economic Recovery (SAfER) Programme to the citizens of Oyo State, many more.
While urging the Governor not to relent on his development spree across the State, Akande calls on residents of Oyo state to remain committed to prayer and support for Governor Makinde, appeals to the people to reciprocate the concerns and determination of the Governor to make life better and safe in the State.
