You’re Making Oyo Proud Like Your Late Father–GSM Advocates Tells Ogundoyin Over His Emergence As Chairman NCS

One of the foremost sociopolitical groups in Oyo state committed to advocacy for and promotion of good governance in Oyo state, the GSM Advocates has congratulated Speaker of the state Assembly, Rt Hon Adebo Ogundoyin, over his emergence as the Chairman of Nigeria Conference of Speakers.

Oyo state Coordinator of the group who was also the immediate past Publicity Secretary of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Akeem Olatunji, made this known in a statement he signed and made available to journalists on Saturday evening.

According to the group, Ogundoyin has become a good brand and household name within the Oyo state political landscape, courtesy of the late father of the Speaker, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin, who was a renowned philanthropist and political guru in his lifetime.

The group noted that the Speaker has yielded himself to the service of Oyo state, Nigeria, and humanity as a whole such that his dedication and commitment have already placed him on the pedestal of greatness in the Nigerian political landscape even at the national level.

The group added that Adebo Ogundoyin has become an epitome of pride in exemplary leadership in Oyo state while wishing him a successful tenure as the chairman and leader of all the speakers of state legislatures in the country.

Recall that Ogundoyin became the first lawmaker in the state to emerge as Speaker of the state assembly on successive terms (2019–2023 till date) and has gone ahead to emerge as Chairman and leader of the Nigeria Conference of Speakers unopposed.

The group said it would continue to champion and entrench the course of democracy and good governance across the state stressing that Ogundoyin’s unwavering loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde has manifested in a very big within a short space of time maintaining that loyalty to one’s leader and political benefactor pays.

“We want to join our hearts to that of millions of Nigerians to celebrate one of our own finest in the person of Rt. Hon. Adebo Edward Ogundoyin, Speaker, Oyo State Assembly and now Chairman and leader of the Nigeria Conference of Speakers.

“This is no mean feat in a political sojourn and we can only celebrate his dedication and commitment to exemplary leadership and championing the course of good governance as a legislator.

“We’re particularly proud of Ogundoyin’s achievements as a young lawmaker and perhaps one of the youngest Speaker in Nigeria. This has manifested in the struggle tagged “not too young to run” and proved that given the right political atmosphere and environment that Oyo state currently enjoys under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, youths in Nigeria could aspire and reach the peak of their political careers.

“We want the Hon.
