The newly sunk boreholes are situated at Akindele village in Ward Three and Gorojo village in Ward Five of the Ido local government area.
Hon. Sheriff Adeojo said the sinking of the borehole is to ease water scarcity in the areas and reduce water-borne diseases in the people of the communities through the provision of borehole water.
The council chairman promised the people of the two communities electric generators to power the boreholes before the commissioning.
He equally charged the people of the communities to be vigilant and protect the boreholes from vandals.
In their words of appreciation, the councilors representing Ward Three, Hon. Omotosho Rafiu, and his counterpart from Ward Five, Hon.Oladokun Wasiu, appreciated the chairman for bringing life to their domain because whoever brings water brings life.
The duo of Hon. Omotosho and Oladokun then called for undivided loyalty of the people of the community to Hon. Sheriff Adeojo’s re-election and other candidates of the People Democratic Party come April 27 when the local government election will come up.
