Video/Pictures: Thousands of APC, Accord Members Decamp to PDP As Sanda-Simple Kicks off Campaign In Egbeda
Thousand of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Accord Party have decamped to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Egbeda local government.
The party members from the opposition parties were welcomed at the official flagged-off of the chairmanship and councillorship candidates of the PDP in Egbeda Local Government.
A cheering crowd overwhelmed by PDP members, party faithful welcomed political dignitaries and functionaries to egbeda local government Gracing the event which was held at the Adegbayi Square in Egbda Local government were Otunba Seye Famojuro, The Oyo state Advisory Council Chairman, Elder Wole Oyelese, the honorable commissioner for Lands and Urban Development, Hon. AkinFunmilayo Williams, Hon. Adeyinka Bibire, Hon. Akin Oke, The Chief Whip OYHA, Akintunde Olajide AKT, Special Adviser, Dr. Moronkola Thomas, Hon Babatunde Tijani, Executive Assistant on Disability Matters, Hon Timothy, Ademola Ige, among others
Earlier in their separate remarks, the Director General of the PDP in Egbeda local government, Hon. Olasunkami (Sunky), revealed that the PDP is out to take It all at the poll come April 27 and assured that the people will continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy at the grassroots.
Leaders of the party urged the crowd to vote for the PDP from top to bottom, stating that the party has proven its worth in the state with the caliber of supporters it has – mostly women and youths.
Jointly, the former minister of steel Elder Wole Oyelese and Otunba Seye Famojuro accompanied by the commissioner for lands and urban development, hon. Akinfunmilayo Williams presented the PDP flag to the chairmanship, vice chairman, and councilorship candidates respectively.
