VIDEO: Ibadan North LG Chair Agba Egbe Host Oyo NULGE, Seeks Support Towards Makinde’s Re-election
... Makinde Owns Our Votes, Oyo NULGE Declares
Ahead of the next weekend’s governorship election, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo (Agba Egbe) held a stakeholder meeting with the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Oyo State to seek the massive support of workers from the grassroots towards Makinde’s re-election.
Agba Egbe, the chief host, appreciated the association for their gestures, synergy, and cooperation with the governor over the last four years, stating the need to support and re-elect governor Makinde for a second term in office.
He stated that no governor in the history of the southwest has ever prioritized the welfare of the workers compared to governor Seyi Makinde, he said, since mankinde’s election into office in 2019, workers were paid in the due time, pensioners got their entitlement directly, training, and retraining of civil servants has been the order of the day.
The council chairman reminded the workers of the dark days of APC administration in the state, where workers were owed salaries and pensions, in the days where there was no regard whatsoever for civil servants, therefore imploring the workers not to lose the golden opportunity but should rather come out as a whole and vote for continuation next weekend.
In his response, the Oyo state NULGE president Comrade Ayobami Adeogun stated, the governor of Oyo state over the years has displayed a proactive measure towards welfare even though not up to a hundred percent, but he has scored above eighty percent, and in that vein, they believe if re-elected, he will do much more.
Adeogun declared the association’s support for governor Seyi Makinde, announcing publicly that they would “vigorously campaign for his victory.” and assured Makinde of maximum support in the March 18, governorship election in the state.
