The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen has commended the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on a successful rescue of kidnapped teachers and pupils from Oriire, crediting the Governor with leading the charge from day one until the hostages were brought home safely.

Speaking on the rescue, the Chairman said the people of Oyo State bear witness to the unwavering commitment of Governor Makinde, who never abandoned the victims’ families since the incident occurred.

“On the Oriire Abduction, we are witnesses to what is possible when leadership lives up to its true purpose. From the very first hour of this painful ordeal, Governor Seyi Makinde refused to accept anything less than the safe return of our people. He did not waver. He did not look away. And all through the challenge, he mobilized resources, coordinated security forces, and kept hope alive for the anxious families and the rests of us in the state”.

The Chairman further stated that the successful rescue is a promise kept to the people of Oyo State.

“The rescue is more than just a security operation, it is a promise kept to the entire people of Oyo state. It shows that no life is expendable when leaders act with courage and conviction. To the brave security operatives who risked everything to bring our children and our teachers home, and to the governor who refused to fail them, we owe a debt of gratitude”, the chairman added.
