The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, has warmly invited residents of Lagelu, members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the general public across Oyo State to attend the 2nd Edition of the Lagelu Ramadan Lecture.
The annual spiritual and intellectual gathering, themed “The Islamic View on Good Governance,” is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 26th February 2026, at the Lagelu Local Government Council Secretariat, starting from 10:00am.
The lecture will be delivered by renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Faruk Onikijipa (Almiskinu Billahi), whose profound teachings and insights continue to inspire moral consciousness, leadership responsibility, and community development across the state and beyond.
Hon. Kamorudeen noted that the Ramadan Lecture series is part of his administration’s commitment to promoting spiritual growth, ethical leadership, peaceful coexistence, and good governance within Lagelu Local Government and Oyo State at large.
He emphasized that the theme resonates strongly with the need for leaders and citizens alike to embrace justice, accountability, compassion, and service to humanity as enshrined in Islamic teachings.
He therefore enjoins all residents, religious leaders, political stakeholders, youth groups, market associations, and the wider public to grace the occasion, benefiting from the enlightening discourse, and join in prayers for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Lagelu and Oyo State.
