Round Peg in a Round Hole: Efe Akpokodje Felicitates Pastor Ademola Aderinto on Appointment as Oyo Environment Commissioner
A member of Living Spring Chapel, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, Mr. Efe Andrew Akpokodje, has congratulated the newly sworn-in Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources in Oyo State, Pastor Ademola Aderinto, describing his appointment as a round peg in a round hole.
In a congratulatory message made available to bowamedia.com, Akpokodje expressed deep appreciation to the Oyo State Government for the choice of Pastor Aderinto, noting that his emergence reflects a thoughtful and strategic decision aimed at strengthening environmental governance and sustainable development in the state.
He described Pastor Aderinto, who is also the Resident Pastor of Living Spring Chapel, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, as a disciplined leader with a strong moral foundation, administrative competence, and a clear understanding of service to humanity.
According to him, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources remains critical to the well-being of residents, particularly in areas of waste management, environmental sanitation, climate resilience, and the protection of natural resources.
Akpokodje further commended Governor Seyi Makinde, FNSE, for what he termed a merit-driven appointment, adding that the governor has continued to demonstrate commitment to placing capable hands in key positions of responsibility.
He expressed confidence that Pastor Aderinto would bring integrity, innovation, and purposeful leadership to the ministry, while promoting policies that would ensure a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Oyo State.
The Living Spring Chapel member also urged stakeholders and residents of the state to support the new commissioner in the discharge of his duties, stressing that environmental sustainability requires collective responsibility.
