Hundreds of All Progressive Congress (APC) members from Oloro Olomo , Otitiloju community area ward 4 apete ido lg ibadan, of Oyo state decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday with a pledge to work round the clock to ensure the party’s victory in the 2027 elections.
The decampees who added that they would not relent in making PDP as a party more virile in the local government and the state through their total commitment and loyalty, assured of adding more value to its progress in the locality.
Welcoming the decampees who are mostly loyalists of Hon. Aderemi Oseni, lawmaker representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency into the PDP fold in Ido local government, the council chairman, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, attributed
the decision of the federal lawmaker’s loyalists to the achievements recorded by governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, which executed various projects that have positively impacted the lives of the residents, expecially in Ido local government.
“While I am welcoming our decampees from APC, I want to implore our leaders to embrace these people and work with them for party unity and election success,” Adeojo said.
According to Adeojo, their defection was not due to recruitment tactics but rather a case of “self-conviction because of the good works the governor is doing in the state, and the added efforts of party leaders and accommodations ideology attracted them to the PDP.”
Some of the decampees include
Alhaja Mawojue, Chief Diko Quadri, Olalani Sheu, Ojugunle, Alfa Oko Eleha, Mr Afeez Success, Mr Kehinde Akinlotan, Alhaja Arike.
Top PDP leaders including Ido PDP party chairman, Alhaji Akinsola Ayuba, SA to the governor Hon. Akano Mathew, Leader Adeyemi, Leader Adelabu State Party Auditor, Hon. Yahaya Abdulazeez, Chief of staff, Hon. Tolulope Damola Elegant, Hon. Biola, Hon. Omotosho, and all Ward 4 PDP members were on the ground to receive the entrants into the party.
