As a way to tackle the challenge of food security in Egbeda LG due to what this country is passing through since the removal of subsidies which brought a bit of hardship to the people.
While distributing the Agric Inputs to Oyo Ncares Beneficiaries, Hon Sanda said we are focusing on taking care of hunger through the distribution of Agric Inputs to Oyo Ncares Beneficiaries in Egbeda to complement the efforts of Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE who recently partners with IITA fa or profitable partnership.
Oyo Ncares Beneficiariwerewas drawn across all the wards in the local government area and were given materials like cassava stem, grains, insecticides, herbicides, des, and growth enhancers to farmers.
The distribution of the material was handled by the Executive Chairman of Egbeda LG, Hon Sanda Sikiru Oyedele who was ably represented by the super for Agriculture, Hon Tayewo Job Olusola then shared all the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the material to achieve the intended aim of the government. In his words we are still in the planting season, so l want to admonish you all to endure you plant the stem, and l pray that the Lord will give you bountiful harvest”
However, he gave kudos to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE for constitutia ng palliative committee which Algon Chairman Oyo State Chapter was among them saddest with the implementation of various palliatives for the people of Oyo State to cushion the subsidy removal.
While responding, the Director of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Egbeda LG, Pastor Adepoju Samuel appreciated ed Oyo State government and Egbeda LG for the kind gesture.
