PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Mudashiru Kamorudeen Congratulates Eight Newly Crowned Lagelu-Obas
The Peoples Democratic Party’s Chairmanship Candidate in Lagelu local government area, Mr. Mudashiru Kamorudeen has congratulated the eight of Lagelu’s newly crowned monarchs.
Just today, in a new elevation round of the ancient “Baales” to Obaship status, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Sen. Moshood Olalekan Balogun elevated eight of Lagelu high chiefs, crowned and installed the octad as kings, alongside their contemporaries from other parts of Ibadan.
On his part, the Chairmanship candidate, Hon Mudashiru Kamorudeen who was present at the event today congratulated the eight newly crowned Lagelu-Obas, appraising their elevation as a development that will herald greater impacts from traditional rulers on society.
In his words, he commended the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and the Olubadan of Ibadanland for giving the elevation of the high chiefs a good thought. “This is one of the mostwell-thought-outt moves in our socio-cultural history”, he said.
Speaking on the end-state of the elevation, Mr. Mudashiru Kamorudeen in his considered opinion said the move will empower the elevated traditional rulers to make more impacts on the advancement of individuals and society, at their respective pace.
