Just In: Oyo State Local Government Service Commission Sets to Conduct Personnel Audit of Local Governments
The Oyo State Local Government Service Commission has concluded plans to carry out verification of local government employees in all 33 local governments and 35 Local Council Development Areas of Oyo State to authenticate the number of staff (establishment and ad-hoc) on the payroll of the local governments.
Shedding more light on the exercise, the Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Deacon Taiwo Olafimihan Adewale disclosed that Verification teams had been deployed to all 33 local governments and the 35 Local Council Development Areas for the personnel audit.
He explained further that the exercise will commence on Monday,26th February 2024 in the Ibadan Zone, comprising Eleven (11) Local governments and Fourteen (14)LCDAs.
While emphasizing the importance of the exercise, the Permanent Secretary charged all Heads and Acting Heads of Local Government Administration to impress upon their staff to make themselves available with required documents, warning that, whoever is not verified physically and has no approval to be away from duty post will be disciplined in consonance with subsisting extant rules and regulations of the service.
