The Oyo State Government has taken a significant step forward in modernizing its land administration system with the launch of an online property title search platform. The platform, developed in partnership with Private Network Nigeria Limited, enables residents, investors, and stakeholders to easily search and verify property information online.

Speaking at the launch event, Governor Seyi Makinde described the platform as a “profound accomplishment” that aligns with his administration’s commitment to leveraging technology for public service. The platform has already digitized over 438,000 property cards, making it easier for citizens to access information and conduct property transactions.

The Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Funmilayo Williams, noted that the platform will enhance service delivery and transition the state from manual property search to an online system. The Head of Service, Mrs. Olubunmi Oni, commended the Ministry for embracing technology to improve service delivery and urged civil servants to take ownership of the platform.

The launch event was attended by key stakeholders, including estate surveyors and representatives of the Nigeria Bar Association, who called for wider sensitization to educate citizens on how to use the platform.
