Oyo LGSC Chair’, Wolekanle Hails Eleruwa’s Coronation, Applauds Makinde’s Support for Traditional Institution

The Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, has described the ascension of Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola, Ajobo Olurin I, as the Eleruwa of Eruwa, as a significant milestone for the people of Eruwa and a new chapter of peace and progress for the community.

In a congratulatory message to the monarch, Bashorun Akinwole expressed confidence in the leadership qualities of Oba Adegbola, stating that his reign would usher in unity, development, and cultural renaissance across Ibarapaland. He also urged the people of Eruwa to rally behind the new king and support his vision for the town’s advancement.

Wolekanle, as he is fondly called, commended Governor Seyi Makinde for the wisdom and diplomacy he continues to exhibit in governing Oyo State, particularly in matters concerning the traditional institution. He noted that the governor’s inclusive and respectful approach has further strengthened ties between the government and traditional rulers.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration among the state government, traditional leaders, and the people, stressing that such synergy is key to grassroots development and lasting peace. He added that the coronation of Oba Adegbola stands as a testament to the government’s commitment to preserving culture and tradition.

Bashorun Akinwole concluded by calling on all sons and daughters of Eruwa, both at home and abroad, to work hand in hand with the new Eleruwa to ensure a peaceful and impactful reign that would elevate the town’s status and legacy.
