Oyo LG Chairmen Celebrate Deputy Governor Lawal’s Birthday, Hail His Commitment to Justice and Unity
The Oyo State Local Government Chairmen’s Forum has congratulated the Deputy Governor, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.

In a statement signed by the Forum’s Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Sanda, and Publicity Secretary, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo on Wednesday, they described Barr. Lawal as a distinguished and patriotic leader whose work in developing the state deserves commendation.
They highlighted the Deputy Governor’s dedication to justice, fairness, and good governance, noting that his career has been marked by excellence, discipline, and service.



His commitment to unity across different faiths was also commended, as it has strengthened both religious cohesion and interfaith relations in Oyo State.
The forum however pointed to his past roles as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, as well as his current position, as evidence of his consistent commitment to justice, fairness, and inclusive governance.


They also mentioned that his efforts to connect with people have improved the relationship between the government and the populace.
While wishing Barr. Lawal good health, wisdom, and more impactful years, the Forum encouraged him to keep being a stabilizing influence in the administration and throughout Oyo State.
The statement also described the Deputy Governor as a “wonderful co-pilot” to Governor Seyi Makinde, a symbol of unity, and a proponent of peace, whose contributions to the current administration are significant.
The Forum reaffirmed its support for the Seyi Makinde-led government and urged residents to continue backing the Deputy Governor and the administration in fulfilling their responsibilities.
