Oyo Deputy Governor, Barr. Lawal, Leads Delegation to Janaza Prayers of Late Sheikh Ajani Muideen Bello
The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Abdul Raheem Adebayo Lawal, on Friday, led a powerful delegation of Oyo government to the Janaza prayers of late popular Islamic cleric, Ajani Muideen Bello.
The scholar died at his residence in Akobo after a brief illness.
Sheikh Ajani’s death has thrown muslim community into mourning as thousands of Muslims including family and friends attended his burial.
Born in 1940 in Ibadan, Alhaji Bello was widely respected for his profound teachings and unwavering dedication to Islamic scholarship.
While commiserating with his family, Barr. Lawal prayed Allah grant Sheikh Ajani Bello eternal rest and grant him aljanat firdaos.
The funeral prayer is a communal obligation for Muslims. It is a way to bid farewell to loved ones and to remember that everyone will one day follow the same path.
The prayer includes four takbirs, the Arabic name for the phrase “Allahu Akbar”, and supplications for the deceased and mankind.
