Oyo Commissioner For Lands Charges LG Town Planner Directorates On Work Efficiency

Oyo State Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Akin Funmilayo Williams has charged the local government’s directorate of town planners on service delivery and ensuring a livable environment for residents.

Akin Funmilayo Williams made the charges at the 2nd Interactive Section with the Directors of Town Planning under the Ministry of Lands, housing, and Urban Development, held at the Ministry conference room in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

According to the commissioner, the interactive session was organized to
further synergies on data reports and address pressing issues in and around the department.

In his open remark, Akin Funmilayo Williams said the interactive section was necessary for the efficiency of the department, noting that since his assumption as the commissioner, he has enjoyed maximum cooperation giving a smooth running for the ministry.

He also charged the directors on past performances, stating that what is needed is additional input from human resources for further improvement.

He stated that the ministry has been charged with improved productivity, and assured willingness to address all pressing issues.

At the meeting, directories from the local governments across the state also presented their financial income reports
with obstacles faced while discharging their duties.

To further enhance work discharge, the commissioner presented two motorcycles to Oluyole and Akinyele local government town planning directors as a reward for their effectiveness and assured others of the same gestures with time.
