The Chairman of Ogbomoso South Local Government Council of Oyo State, Hon. Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy, has felicitated with Governor Seyi Makinde and his Deputy, Barrister Bayo Lawal, for clocking one hundred days in office in the second term of administration.
The council boss also hailed the governor for effectively upgrading the lives of the people of Ogbomosoland through different government policies and programs, saying that “things have changed and the people are no longer where they used to be.”
In a statement personally signed on Monday, He noted that the governor has done extremely well in the aspect of awarding various development projects, and contracts, especially the 76.7km Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road project, which provides vital inter-zone connectivity between the Ogbomoso and Oke Ogun Zones of the state as well as easy access between the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Campus in Ogbomoso and the Iseyin Campus.
He equally lauded the welfare package for the civil servants and the palliative buses to help cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal on the people, as it affects transportation difficulties in the state.
The LG boss lauded the Governor and other leaders for sustaining pro-people development heights within the life span of this dispensation in terms of infrastructural initiatives and execution, adding that they all are expected to provide the promised dividends of democracy to the masses.
He, however, urged the people of the state to repay the governor with unflinching loyalty and support to enable him and his team of technocrats to achieve success for the betterment of all and sundry in the state.
