Maulid Nabiyy: Oyo LG Chairmen Forum Fetes Muslims, Preaches Grassroots Unity
The Forum of Local Government Chairmen in Oyo State has felicitated with Muslim faithful across the state and the nation on the occasion of this year’s Maulid Nabiyy, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

In a statement signed by the Forum Chairman, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, and made available to journalists by its Public Relations Officer, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, the council bosses extended warm greetings to Muslims, particularly those at the grassroots, for their steadfast devotion and commitment to the teachings of Islam.
The Forum emphasized that Prophet Muhammad’s exemplary life of humility, compassion, tolerance, and peace should continue to serve as a guide for all believers in their daily lives and in building stronger, united communities.

“As the leaders closest to the people, we use this occasion to celebrate with our Muslim brothers and sisters, especially at the grassroots. We urge everyone to uphold the values of unity, peaceful coexistence, and love as taught by the Prophet,” the statement read in part.
The Forum further prayed for enduring peace, development, and prosperity in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
