A tragic incident occurred in the early hours of today at Osuntokun area, Bodija, Ibadan, as yet-to-be-identified gunmen allegedly assassinated a man in cold blood.
According to an eyewitness report, the assailants, who were masked, double-crossed the victim’s vehicle before opening fire on him. They reportedly fled the scene immediately after the attack, leaving residents in shock and panic.
Security operatives from the Oyo State Police Command have since arrived at the scene of the crime to assess the situation and commence investigation.
As of the time of filing this report, the identity of the victim and possible motives behind the attack remain unknown.
