Man’O’ War Honors Ibadan North LG Chair, Agba Egbe as “War Marshall”
The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo was on Tuesday the 22nd of May 2023 honored and decorated as a “War Marshall” of the Man’O’ War, Oyo State chapter.
Agba Egbe as fondly called, was honored at his office, the local government secretariat in Agodi in the presence of the state Commandant, Man O’ War, Alhaji Yakeen, the general manager OYTMA, Mr. Adeoye Kola Ayoade other senior officers of the command, political appointees and officials of the Ibadan north local government.
Speaking after his decoration, Agba Egbe appreciated the Man’O’ War for the honor and the management of the local government for their support, saying the honor couldn’t have come to reality if not for their collective efforts towards serving the wonderful people of Ibadan north local government.
He said, “I’m so delighted to receive this honor. It is coming at a time I needed it the most because while growing up I have always wanted to be part of a paramilitary force, at least the Man O’ War, and now the honor”.
He, however, pledged his continuous support to the Command, adding that he will look into their accommodation problem.
Earlier, the General Manager OYRTMA, Mr. Adeoye Kola Ayoade, described the honor as well deserved to the recipient, adding that he (Agba Egbe) has paid his dues considering the numerous impact he has made since he emerged as the council chairman, even beyond his municipal area, further, he said his dedication and selflessness towards the progress of the state, and the youths, in particular, has made him worthy of the honor.
The state Commandant, Commander Yekeen said the honor was not given to Agba Egbe just because he is the chairman of a local government but due to the impact, he had made in the society.
Speaking further, Yekeen said, “he (Agba Egbe) had assisted the association in so many ways, so much that our national officers gave their nod to honor him based on the report sent to them.”
The Commandant while confirming the membership of Agba Egbe congratulated him, adding that he had been tested and had proven himself.
In his remarks, the chief of staff to the chairman, elder Olanrewaju Oderajo on behalf of the political appointees, and staff of the council felicitated the chairman, adding that the honor was well deserved.
He described Agba Egbe as a humble and dedicated politician, who leads by example positively in all that he does
while thanking the Oyo State Command of the Man’O’ war for the gesture, he prayed to Almighty God to continue to guide and protect the recipient.
