Makinde’s DCoS, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN), Supports Fire Victims with Cash Donation at Hon. Olufunke Comforter’s Relief Program
The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Oyo State Governor, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, popularly known as DoN, has extended a hand of compassion and solidarity to victims of recent fire outbreaks in Ibadan North Local Government Area, with a cash donation presented at the constituency office of Hon. Olufunke Comforter, the member representing Ibadan North State Constituency 1.
The donation was made during the cash and relief material presentation event organized by Hon. Comforter to support residents affected by two separate fire incidents that occurred in March and May 2025.

The March incident ravaged Adabale Compound, leaving seven occupants devastated, while the May disaster affected 15 shop owners at the Yemetu Police Complex. Many of the victims lost properties, goods, and means of livelihood.
Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, who graced the event as a show of solidarity, commended Hon. Comforter for her commitment to the welfare of her constituents, particularly in times of distress. He described her intervention as timely, empathetic, and in alignment with the people-focused governance of Governor Seyi Makinde.

In his remarks, DoN emphasized the importance of standing with the people during difficult times and urged others in positions of influence to emulate such gestures that bring relief and restore hope to the vulnerable.
“This is not just a cash donation; it is a message that we see you, we feel your pain, and we are with you. I commend Hon. Comforter for her consistency in community service and for not turning her back on her people when they needed her most,” he said.

Hon. Comforter expressed deep appreciation for the support of Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, noting that the gesture added significant value to the impact of the relief program. She reiterated her commitment to grassroots development and to always being accessible to her constituents.
Beneficiaries of the program expressed heartfelt gratitude to both Hon. Comforter and Hon. Folajimi, praying for continuous strength and elevation in their service to humanity.

The event further underscored the collaborative efforts of public office holders in Oyo State in responding to emergencies and addressing the immediate needs of citizens.
